Not a spring team event (No other commitments)
As a leader in off season hockey, RUSH hockey is putting on this Atomic Challenge event to help young, female hockey players experience playing with new players. The focus here will be to help these young players become confident meeting new faces, get some experience working with high end coaches, and to compete in a pure hockey setting. Please note, this is definitely NOT a scouting event. In the past we have had coaches and players working with the girls from Collegiate hockey and Hockey Canada.
GENERAL SCHEDULE GUIDELINES:
Friday Night: Check in – practice day- Receive your unique, custom made jersey and socks to wear for the weekend and to keep after the event. One hour on- ice practice with current college players.
Saturday and Sunday: Game days!
Fitness testing (scheduled with your RUSH team)
Educational seminars (scheduled times) – Topics TBA
Collegiate Coaches and Collegiate Players
Players will be placed into teams of 10 forwards, 6 defensemen and 2 goalies.
RUSH hockey staff will create teams, you may request to play with people when you register as some comfort level is traditionally requested. We do not allow more than 5 members from the same 2017-2018 winter club team to play on the same RUSH team to maintain competitive balance during the event but will do our best to help you with requests to play with friends for comfort, travel, etc.
Once rosters are posted online, there will be NO changes.
Rosters and activity schedules will not be posted until 7 to 10 days before the event.
There will be NO REFUNDS of the registration fee once registered. Spring team conflicts do not receive refunds. Certain exceptions may apply (ie injury). We apologize for the inconvenience.
Because of the nature of the event, and with the issues we have to face today post 9/11, when a player pays their registration fee they should be aware that the refund policy applies to any situation.
Please note that you will be charged $75 for NSF cheques.
RUSH hockey does reserve the right to do change the date if there is an issue at any time due to an emergency situation without refund of the tournament registration fee
