RUSH RISING STARS PRE COLLEGE SHOWCASE OVERVIEW:
Birth years- 2005 and 2006 (limited 2004)
Individual entries ONLY (No Club teams)
Not a spring team event or no try outs, this is not a European travel team (no other commitments)
The goal of the RUSH Rising Stars Showcase is to provide an elite playing environment and to help to educate the younger girls and their patents on future opportunities. The Rush Rising stars structure mirrors “The Show”. In 2018 and moving forward we are seeing recruitment happen much younger. There will be a focus on getting you prepared for the recruitment process with the help of collegiate experts.
GENERAL SCHEDULE GUIDELINES:
Thursday: Check in/ Practice day – Receive your unique, custom made jersey and socks to wear for the weekend and to keep after the event. You will be on the ice for an hour practice, and 2- 30 minute scrimmages. Neither are developmental. It is more geared towards warming up for the weekend.
Friday: 2 games (2- 25 minute periods stop time)
Saturday: 2 games (2- 25 minute periods stop time)
Sunday: Play off day (1-30 minute period stop time)
Fitness testing (scheduled with your RUSH team)
Educational seminars (scheduled times)- Topics and schedule will be posted
Players will be placed onto teams of 10 forwards, 6 defensemen and 2 goalies.
RUSH Hockey staff will create the rosters, but you may request to play with people when you register. We do not allow more than 4 members on a RUSH team whom played on the same 2017-2018 winter club team to maintain competitive balance.
Once rosters are posted online, there will be NO changes.
Rosters and activity schedules will not be posted until 7 to 10 days before the event.
There will be NO REFUNDS of the registration fee once registered. Spring team conflicts do not receive refunds. Certain exceptions MAY apply but these include credits only (ie injury). We apologize for the inconvenience.
Because of the nature of the event, and with the issues we have to face today post 9/11, when a player pays their registration fee they should be aware that the refund policy applies to any situation.
Please note that you will be charged $75 for NSF cheques.
RUSH hockey does reserve the right to do change the date if there is an issue at any time, due to an emergency situation without refund of the tournament registration fee.
